Sirs,
A number of times I've received e-mail with attachments that contain .pps Files.
Just today I got one titled TodayOnly.pps.
The Adobe Reader logo always accompanies these files, but when I try to open them, an error notice comes up stating, "This is not a PDF file".
These attachments come from close friends so I don't suspect a virus or worm.

It's a Power Point file, if you do not have Microsoft Office you need to download a viewer to view it, can do that at this link http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx
As with all attachments I'd make sure your virus program is up to date & run a virus scan on it before opening it
