1. Don't make new post to respond to (or continue) the original post.
2. How can you say it worked before when in your original post you said that you just upgraded the motherboard? How did you upgrade the motherboard without replacing it, and if you replaced it, how did you do that without removing the front power switch and reset leads?????

Since the front power switch functions through the motherboard, if it was working and suddenly just stopped working without you having done anything with or to your PC, then obviuosly the motherboard has a problem. But your description of exactky what you have done and the sequence of events is so unclear and inexact, I frankly can't begin to understand what has gone on.

Does your MoBo support "Recover after powerfail"? THen it shoul power up from the back.
It sounds like your system powers up when you switch the psu on using the switch on the psu.
What happens after this? Does the front switch function? Is there a 4 or 5 second delay set on power down by switch?

Right, just pressed the front power switch, and the computer turned off!!! Never did that with before. It just switched the power off automatically, I didn't have to touch anything.

Any local or internet computer supply store. 300W minimum. If you have a Pentium4 or AMD XP cpu make sure Power Supply is certified for that cpu. Most all PS now come with both ATX and older style MB connectors, but make sure it does in fact have the one appropriate for you motherboard.
