Have an eMachines PC which makes a high pitched "eeeeee" noise when it is running. The noise is not overbearing, but it is there and hard to ignore. Power supply fan might be culprit. Is there any way to reseat fan so that it does not make this noise, or do all eMachines do this? Appreciate your help, thank you.

The powersupply on the emachines tend to go out regularly because they are only 120 watts and propriatary and be prepared to pay $45 for a new one from a computer store. because the normal ATX style powersupplys are too big.

You can change the fan inside if you want to but it take more time trying to mess with it than to just change the powersupply.
