Random websites popping up which urls r always ended with /tau.html. for instance
"http://www.dealiotoday.com/tau.html"
i've tried using ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, and norton to find it out but no luck there. and now the webpages keep popping up and very annoying. any solution for this or any software which can help me out?

And this is a message from Computing.net:

"DO NOT post a HiJackThis log here unless an expert has requested it. Instead, please ask in plain english about what is wrong with your computer. You also may want to look at the automated HiJackThis analyzer by clicking here"

If you want to eleminate most pop ups and ads on your PC use Mozilla Firefox as your browser. It is far more user friendly than Internet Explorer and has some great features for organizing your book marks and making them available in the toolbar. Lots of other great features too. Check it out..it's free.

some great advice vinnieb, except I found this page after searching because Firefox is popping up.

Just because it's not IE doesn't mean it's bullet proof.
