I keep getting popups on my pc even when i have phsyically disconnected the high speed connection. I have ran ad-aware and looked thru my system to see if anything is embedded.
It usually is a PopUP ad for a POpup stopper. (clever in a crappy way)
How can i prevent this from coming back?

Try Downloading Ad-Aware6 or Spybot 1.10 from the internet. These programs should find these gremlins!

Think carefully in this solution :
0) Identify the Site that is appearing.Click with mouse right button/properties to view if it not appear in caption;
1) Go to Prompt-MSDOS ;
2) execute REGEDIT
3) search(via menu) the string that identifies the site (commonly, the string xxx that after http://www.xxx.com :
4) Case in the registry search it appear in TAB [Domains] , carefully delete it.If this above does not solve, use the windows search tool (Button Start/Search for string), and try to found in your C:\ any files that contains the string with the name of the Site that appear in the popup ad.
In my case, a programa named winservn was the responsible for the popups.
Maybe is possible to delete the program only in Dos-Prompt mode...In my case, this kill (for a while) the boring popups...
