My system - W98, IE 6.0 (problems with 5.5 too) Some pop up windows freeze when I click on the correponding link, for example to enter forums from the main page I had to type the address my self: http://computin.net/forums, clickin on the link started a new IE window which was a frozen mirror image of the original window. Imagine you take a photo of the screen and then paste it in a pop up window, well that is what happens in my case. I have tride from checking and unchecking all the options in the advanced menu, reinstalling IE5.5 and scanning for known viruses to no avail. I only succeeded once when I installed IE 5.0, which is what I shall do next. The problem is wide spread, most importantly, I am unable to play yahoo pool, the best online game I know and which I recomend to all (check yahoo.com, games, pool) Thanks for all your efforts!

From the START > RUN > msconfig > check and make sure you only have open programs which you need at this time. What is your resource percentage? Sometimes things just clash. Do you have enough RAM?

Do those Pop Up Windows bother you? Combat them with then freeware utility Pop Up Stopper, available from www.panicware.com
