Mike, sorry to say you did not tell anyone too much about anything. In order to get help you have to be a little more detailed. What plugin are you referring to? Trying to connect to net, new hardware added to your system, existing hardware non-functional. A problem with Internet Explorer, Windows Media, Real Media, Not having correct plugin for AVI,MPEG or correct Codecs, and to what device? What kind of system do you have? Do you know it's specifications such as processor, type and speed MHZ, Drive size memory capacity etc. Be a little more precise and I am sure these kind folks will help

I have the same problem, I can't download anything but I was able to before. Same messages, plugin did not initialize properly or something like that. I mean anything, like Winamp of Iexplorer, or anything off C-net either. I have an 800Mhz, 128 Ram and I have an earthernet card if that's any help. I could download off internet explorer, now I can't, I have to use netscape, don't get it, please solve my problem.

this is probably some problem with Windows and or IE. A system that was infected with a virus displays this and no plugins are able to initialize...from any web site. I just encountered this. Any reply's welcome.

I am having the same problem. I cannot seem to download from IE. I first get a message that the "plugin can't be found." Then after I click ok, I get another message saying the "plugin was found but it did not initialize properly." I have IE 5.0, Win98 and plenty of memory and bandwidth. Any ideas? I am thinking I need to reinstall IE.
Thanks.
