Comment:

i have win 98SE, dvd-rom pioneer 114, and i just updated the firmware to 2.06. i've a problem reading dvd movies. the dvd won't show any image, only sounds. i would like to know if i can install an older firmware, on the new one (for example, install the firmware 2.03, when the firmware version is 2.06)

thanx a lot!

1.Was the reason for upgrading the Pioneer DVD-ROM drive Firmware to version 2.06, failure to view DVD movies or the problem the result of the upgrade?

2. If the Firmware upgrade was the cause, what was the indication for the upgrade in the first place, and did you achieve the purpose with the upgrade?

3. What Multimedia software are you using to view DVD movies?

1. as result of the upgrade, i can't see any images on dvd-movies.

2. my DVD-Rom was region protected, and the reason for the update was to see all the regions. since the update, i can't see ani images.

3. i use ZORAN Soft-Dvd.

thanx a lot again!

I'm not aware of any methods to 'undo' a Firmware Upgrade unless there was a provision to save the older version during the upgrade.

You might try Uninstall and Reinstall of your ZORAN Soft-DVD or even try an updated version if available, to solve the display problem

Hope someone else can give you better advice.
Please post back in detail how you solved the problem once you accomplish that.
Good luck.

Brian,as I use to do:

If u upgrade a program and the prog stops working,"unupgrade it".Uninstall the upgrade an re-install the older version. In last case,u can wait for a newer version and try it on.
