Please help my comp hangs

CPU/Ram: 200mhz 64mb armada 6500

Hello can someone please help me , when i try to install windows 98 or any other os my comp hangs/go back to dos after scandisk . Its a notebook , armada 6500 . I had nearly the same problem on my old comp then they said it was the ram mem how was broken can it be same prob this time??

It hangs at Walk memory allways now ,, can it be so that the memory is broken??.. Next thing is that i cant find it in the comp ?? any sugestion?
