I just got the philips cdr560, and I heard that there is a trick to swap discs, like to use an audio/data cd-r instead of a audio cd-r. I tryed, but it wont work with this one, because when you press record, the message 'no audio' shows up. Does anyone have an other trick, or knows what to do??
use CD-R DA .Try imation blank CD >or use MAXELL CD-R music 74 >When recording on one of these blank's >do not use all disk space, you will not be able to finalize it later, resulting in a reading "no disc".let me know how everything works out!

I was thinking about buying the 560 is it good cd recorder? What are the flaws and benefits? Does it make copies of your music cd's? Also, do u know a low price online store I can buy it from?

well,... I've the CDR538 but I also have that problem. I don't think that you can change that by using another type of CDs. I think that you have to disconnect a chip which is inside. so if someone knows what this chip looks like or what's the same of it: PLEASE tell it me. thanx by the way: I've another problem. the cdr538 recognizes original cd and "fake" cd (sorry I don't know the real name). does anybody know how to change that?

Summary: Best CDR's are 'Imation CD-R 24x 700MB/80MIN' they give the best quality recording and so far have had no problems with using them on my Philips CDRW drive. ...
