I need a driver for my Windows 95 machine so that the Philips CDD4401/72 (AKA Compaq CDD4401) will work. I have done a large amount of searching around myself, but can't seem to find the right driver, only firmware updates that I tried.
Please Help
Much Thanks

Nothing specifically for Win95 but the Win98 one should work in preference to Win ME.

Mr. Adam Stoffel.
I don't know what you are going to accomplish with your search for this elusive driver for the Philips CD Device ( My best guess is that it is a CD-RW drive) that comes with Compaq Presario 5000 seies.
If it is with the hope of fixing the problem of inability to read or write using this CD device, you are in for a big surprise. I have yet to see one of those Philips CD-RW installed in Compaq Presario 5000 seies reaching their 3rd birth day!
IMHO, the time is best spent on looking for a bargain price for a better and faster CD-ROM or CD-RW device & if possible upgrade your old Win95 to a more modern OS.
That is my 2¢!

That's an old burner. What is it doing (or not doing) that makes you think it needs drivers? You shouldn't need drivers if windows is up and running. Or are you trying to install windows but can't get the bootdisk to see the burner?
