PLS help!

I have an armada 7400 laptop with w95 on it. The laptop has outlook 98 on it. When I try to access my Outlook98 mail account. It tells me I have to 1)retry 2)workoffline 3)cancel. To avert this, I do ipconfig release and then renew. Then everything works. I am just trying to have my Outlook open up without the hassle of Ipconfig...etc. How can I accomplish this?

Additional info: there is only one nic card and its in the docking station only.

the docking station has two profiles: docked and undock, no errors with those.

If you can help, great! If not, thanks anyway.
