Hi,
I am in bad need of a link to get PCMCIA 2.1 card and socket services for a Compaq notebook. It is currently fdisked and formatted , but I only have windows 95b on cd and since I did the above my Vintech portable CD-ROM will not work. Please help if you can, I will be forever indebted to you. >>>Thanks John R

You will have to find the dos driver for the pcmcia socket and for the the brand of the cd rom drive. the socket driver will have to be installed first bfore the driver for the cd rom. Did you try the web site for your cd rom drive to get the driver from them. I use EXP BRAND PCMCIA/CD ROM DRIVE. You may try their bootup disk from them, download it at www.expnet.com

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,you're great for trying to help. I have the Vintech CD-ROM MS-DOS drivers, What I need so bad is the PCMCIA Version 2.1 card and socket services MS DOS drivers for a Compaq LTE ELITE 4/75 CX.Compaq told me since it's out of warrenty I'm own my own and not to bother them, buy a new one and get support. For a support site those guys are not people friendly at all.
