PCI Bus Scan / Reinstalling Windows 98 SE

I have reformatted my hard drive and attempted to reinstall Windows 98 Secon Edition. Everytime I turn on my computer with the Boot disk and Windows 98 SE Cd inserted I get to the point where I can select Install Windows 98 SE with CD ROM support. Once I make a selection the computer gets stuck at "PCI Bus Scan". It moves no further. I was wondering if this could be a bad boot disk? Any suggestions? Help? I have reformatted a lot of different computers but not run into this problem.

try a different boot disk...

if that doesn't help, it might just be seeing a conflict with a card....try pulling things out

You can also before installing windows copy the Cd to your hdd if it is big enough and install it fron there.
