PC wont start

CPU/Ram: 1gi hrz atolon 324mg pc

Help I swapped out a floppy drive on my pc now it makes no sounds or start up. The MOBO fan and case fan run, the hard drive lights come on as does the dvd/cdrw but no beeps or buzzing from the MOBO. I removed and replace the ram. but still no start any help please

My first guess is that the floppy data cable is put on backwards. Maybe it's not on tight. Maybe the power plug is not in/ or in right. Look for bent or broken pins at the data connection and power connection.
I'm sure nothing serious is wrong, almost surely is one of the things I mentioned.

I agree with raincheck. Most common problem with floppy drives are either the power cable or data cable not installed correctly.

While you were inside the case, did you disconnect and then reconnect any other cables? An IDE cable on backwards will cause those symptoms on most motherboards.

Nope i checked all the connetions and even put in a different floppy drive and the old one works in a different pc??? coould i have shorted out the mother board?

You might try reseating the cpu also.

Disconnect the drives and remove all the cards except video. Keep track of where each card goes. Then see if you at least get a posting screen.
