I installed something called Phat Linux on my PC so I can run Windows and Linux on the same partition. To run linux it said to use the Startup disk and get to ms-dos propmt to do so. After playing with linux I shut down my PC and now it wants to boot up with my startup disk all the time! I can't get into Windows 98 and im about to die because linux is like a bad version of Windows 95! heh. If I don't use the startup disk when turning on my pc it won't let me mess around with dos. It only shows microsoft copyright information. Junk like that. I need help fast! Do I have to mess with my bios so that it boots up on from the hard drive? If so, how do I do that? Thanks if anyone can answer my question quickly. I have to do a paper for my english class and it has to be typed so I need windows! =)

Hi,
First of all LINUX is not compatible with windows, so forget to use any software to make them work together, anyways this is only a suggestion in BIOS you can change the boot sequence to start from C: drive but the your c: drive must have the system files, if it does not have , once you are at A: prompt with your startup disk type copysys c:
good luck

What does this do if I do the SYS C: ? See, I used the startup disk, went to ms dos prmpt only, and shut down my computer by typing "Exit" in dos (it actually restarted it)which I didn't know would do it. I think since I didn't shut down correctly using the regular windows 98 shut down menu it always wants to bootup with the startup disk. I don't know, im not at my computer at the moment so I haven't been able to try the BIOS thing. Im still trying to get help.
