go to the control panel and click on settings. you can change the current password. if you dont want a password just enter the user name and leave the password field blank. Then click Okay.

The above post is ALMOST right. Do exactly as jeff said, but after you type in the name you want it to acknowledge, hit the TAB button. This will TAB your cursor into the password box. Now hit TAB again so that the OK button is outlined. Now it will ask you to confirm your password. Do exactly as you did before hitting the TAB button to advance the cursor. Remember from now on your password is:TAB. If you want to change it after this go to control panel and change it, using TAB as old password.

Is your computer networked in any way?
If so, and you want no password issues whatsoever at boot, try this...
1. In the control panel, open up Network 2. At Primary Network Logon, select "Windows Logon" don't reboot yet if it asks. 3. Search for all files ending in .pwl (search for *.pwl) and delete them. 4. reboot 5. when the logon screen comes up, just hit ENTER to get rid of it (not space or tab or anything - just hit ENTER)
Hope this helps.
