in my connection to the internet server i have to type my password over and over again because i cant use the option of "save password"
thanks J.P

there is a file in windows that gets corrupted that holds your saved password
causes this ....the nly fix i found was reinstall windows.....i'v would not reinstall
just for that...but i find when i do reinstall win......the saved password option again works...

I had this problem once and I would try this first. Open Control Panel,Network,Configuration.Check that "CLIENT FOR MICROSOFT NETWORKS" is installed, if not, Click "ADD" & install it.
Then in PRIMARY NETWORK LOGON, Click on "CLIENT FOR MICROSOFT NETWORKS".
This has worked for me, Good Luck!
DENNIS

Another fix is to simply uninstall/reinstall dial up networking and then add client for microsoft networks. If password still will not save try renaming the *.pwl files. To uninstall/reinstall Dial up Networking...open control panel...dc networks...remove Dial up adapter...close network...go to control panel..dc add/remove programs...select windows setup tab..
dc communications...remove check next to dial up networking...select ok and reboot. Open control panel...dc add/remove programs..select windows setup tab...dc communications..check Dial up Networking...select ok...open Network...click add...select adapter..select add.select microsoft...select dial up adapter...select add...select protocol..select add..select microsoft..select TCP/IP...select add...select client..select add...select microsoft..select client for microsoft networks...select ok ...select ok...reboot.

all of these fixes are good, depending on what network protocols you use for your internet provider, you can screw things up. This problem you have is a know Microsoft DUN bug. When you restart your computer, if you get a log on to windows screen, type in the username (the same one you use for the internet), but do not type in a password. click ok, then click ok again if you are asked to verify(confirm) your password.DO NOT ENTER A PASSWORD. then when you try to connect, you will be able to place a check infront in front of save password.

Then check the "log on automatically box". Otherwise you will lose your save password when you reboot.
Thanks to KB's above post for helping me with this problem. Had to figure out the Tweak UI problem for myself.
