Hi,

I have a parallel port scanner and I was wondering if it would make any difference if I purchased a paralled to USB connecter. Would it scan faster because it can transfer more data than parallel port or would it work the same way. Any help is appreciated.

only if the scanner can be or is configured to make use of that type of connection and if you can find such an adapter

Nope it wouldn't run any faster because it would still be limited by the parallel port speed. If the scanner will run on a USB port (and you have an open PCI slot) you could purchase a USB adapter card.
