it is caused because your scanner software installed an old version of SHLWAPI.dll in it's program directory. Do Find > Files > SHLWAPI.DLL You should find 2. Rename the one in the scanner program directory to SHLWAPI old.dll (for example), reboot and try the software again. If there is still a failure, copy the SHLWAPI.DLL file from \Windows\System into the directory where the 'old' version is.

I don't know which one you will need .... I have the same problem I had MTX Virus and it infected mine and I had to delete it now I'm trying to get my PC up and running right but It's a MESS .. I have been working on it now for 6 days and I have removed it out of 40 + files ... I thought I had it gone once but some how I missed something .. it wasn't in my Regedit when I looked the first time and I removed all the bad files but some how it survived and it spread like wild fires and I have a virus protector as well ..
