Page scrolling is making me dizzy

Scrolling the Internet is making me dizzy! This just started 2 days ago. When booting up, I would get messages about missing files needed for Norton's Antivirus. I unstalled that piece of crap about 4 months ago. I am now getting error messages. I can just "press any key" to continue and the computer boots up.
(I really don't want to reinstall Windows since I just did it last December.)
Now when I press "page up or page down" it is like the pages move in "waves". 10 waves for each time I press page up or down. I hope someone can help me. I took out the video card and reseated it but that did not help at all.

Sabertooth, restore doesn't work. I tried to restore and computer says it is unable to restore. The nearest date in April 17, 2007. I tried to restore to that date and a message came up saying "unable to restore".

Do you run your computer 24/7? The restore file is created at the first boot of the day.
To answer the question of how will the uninstall utility help. It may remove the ENTIRE program, which obviously didn't happen when you un-installed it.

Yes, I usually keep it on 24/7. When I did scanreg /restore, the dates that came up where from April 2007. Is there another way to get to the dates even though I am running Win 98SE?

You evidently shutdown that day.

At this point, we need to go back to move forward. Do you mind posting the "message" at boot .... verbatim?

I had the page scrolling problem about 5 months ago. I cannot remember how I got it corrected though. I thought maybe someone might have had this same problem and could tell me how to fix it.

Actually it's a good idea to reboot win98 daily. Then you will have several restore backups available.
Also Win98 has a problem with running out of 'System Resources' (don't ask) when a system isn't rebooted for an extended time. Strange that you haven't encountered that problem.

Win 98 has been rebooted many times since April 2007 - but not on a daily basis. Somehow restore only showed 4 dates in April.
I will be reinstalling Win 98 tomorrow. I can't stand the wavy pages when using page down and page up. (The wavy pages are there when I view a Word document too.) Also, hopefully, I won't get the error messages in DOS when loading Windows.

Tried to reinstall Nortons so I could use the Removal Tool. I couldn't even install Nortons. I don't understand why Norton's turned on me like it did. I have used Norton's for 6 years and we always got along fine.

The version you are using may no longer support Win98.

I bit the bullet and wiped the drive and reinstalled everything except Nortons. I should be good for another year.

That's usually a video driver related issue, try updating to the latest version.
