everytime I try to open a particular disc I get an error message, invalid page fault in module mscomctl.ocx at 017f:275c3cd0. Its not the disc as I get a new one every month, but whatever it is its getting worse, almost everytime I try it shuts my prog down. help

Just wondering if the version of mscomctl.ocx in your windows/system folder is out of date.
Right click the file, note the version number and take a security copy of it (just in case).
Search Google for mscomctl.ocx and see if you can find a later version (there are several hits out there). If so download and copy it into c:\windows\system.
In the event of problems copy the original one back in.
Bear in mind I am just "thinking aloud", you may get some more informed responses.
