PA-2013 w/WIN98 hangs after 2 hours

I have a PA-2013 /1m cache/128m SDRAM/ATI video card/Maxtor 6g HD...
After about 2 hours the system hangs... Have swapped motherboard & CPU & memory... Have re-installed win98... No luck any ideas...

Given that you have done all that and you still get an identical error, I would suspect the power supply. Possibly the PS fan stops running and the comp over heats, or you are getting voltage fluctuations.

The "always on" patch is a good idea, but two hours operation? Heck 12 hours operation should not be a prob for Win 98 patched or not.
I had the same problem and I have a Iwill MB XA100PLUS You need to goto the windows update and get the updates windows 98 when it was released it was full of bugs and still is.

RESOLVED!! I had a same problem,and have resolved this by the help of the Japanese Web Page.. Main matter is the noise of the Power Suplly,and I revised the BIOS to the newest one,then wind the 3.3-V(orange) line on the ferrite core.Then the Pa-2013 be stable. Consequently the Pa-2013 is very weak for the noise,DEFECTIVE MOTHER!!
