Hello,
I have problems with OE when shutting down. There's an error with the msimn file.
SFC doesn't help and i don't find my problem in the Microsoft knowledge base.
Can i safely download IE 6 and overwrite it?

It's OK if the version is either equal or greater than whatever you have on there at present. You can get problems if you go backwards with IE versions.

Take care replacing IE & OE files with sfc. The files are often updated and putting back the old CD versions can cause problems. Wasn't sure what you meant by "sfc didn't help".

I might be able to dig out a suitable file replacement if you let me know your OE version, although the file itself might not be the problem.

You may not need to do that. Try going to control panel> add/remove programs> MSIE6> add/remove> repair.
