Comment:
When I try to print in Outlook, from the pull-down menu "File-Print", I get an error "Unable to save the print settings". However, if I click on the "print" icon, I can print fine. I'm not sure exactly what the cause or the fix is for this. Has anyone seen this? If so, what did you do to fix this?
I had the same problem and found the sollution fot it!! The problem is problably caused by using user profiles. Check the following registry key: Hkey_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Office/8.0/Outlook/Printing
This key has a path leading to this file:Outlprnt Check if this path is correct. If it is not correct then manually create this path and file in the registry or in your explorer to the correct path.
Succes, Cyrille

Same problem. But the recommended solution by Microsoft and other users of changing location of Outlprnt.doc does not work. Any other suggestions by anyone else?

I had this problem and Cyrille's solution (May 9) worked for me. The registry value "Print Settings File" in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Printing] had a non-existent path (my username had changed). I can now print from Outlook again. Thanks, Cyrille!
