Hey, my Grandma has a Dell and when she bought it, it had Windows Millennium on it. It sucked, so someone put Windows '98 on her computer instead. Now she's having a problem with Outlook. When she receives an e-mail, she gets two of the same e-mail and there's one specific e-mail that sends over and over to one person. She has DSL, so she called AT&T, but apparently they were no help. I couldn't figure it out either. Any ideas as to what is wrong? I told her she may just need to get a new computer, but in the mean time she'd like to have her problem fixed.

Usually when you get duplicate emails in outlook it means that the mail server was not emptied when you downloaded the email. What email service is this? An email being sent over and over again is stuck in the Outbox and should be removed.
Compaq Presario SR1720NX Desktop Computer
AT&T SBC Yahoo DSL Home
Linksys Router/2 computers

Just curious. Is the mail account POP,IMAP or HTTP? I've seen the duplicate email issue with Outlook Express before. Maybe it's similar with Outlook.

What version of Outlook is she running? Any Service Packs installed for Office?
Check the Server timeouts for the account. Also, make sure that the option to Leave mail on server is not selected.
Does the repeating email stay in the Outbox, or is the recipient just receiving the email many times?
Also, for future reference, Outlook questions should be posted in the Office Software Forum.
Life's more painless for the brainless.
