For a couple of days now OE6 wont let me read mail and I cant use any of the tools,send/receive,anything unless I compact all the folders and then it works but still when you try to click on a email it says theres not enough memory????? We have a pentium 2,333 with Win 98 SE and Internet Explorer 6,this just started yesterday and I ran a complete virus scan with Norton 2002 and it found nothing? Anyone have any ideas? Try deleting the identities in Registry and resetting up your Outlook Express. My outlook just went out and that was the only way to get it back. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times. Tried repair tool also, finally got so it wouldn't open just initial splash screen and freeze. I went to regedit. Searched under the Local User and deleted the identity. Then went into windows files and copied the folders to my new identity and got all my email, saved folder, etc. Lots of hassle but it worked like a charm. HTH
