Hi, does anyone know if there is a log file anywhere in Windows which stores the time/dates of emails sent via Outlook Express? Thanks
I believe there's a utility that allows reading/management of these dbx files, but alas I don't know what/where it is. (I use Outlook 2000) Someone will probably be along to expand on this though. Or, it's been covered in this forum and a search will probably turn up the info.

There is no meaningful log file of all your emails. They do not get recorded in a continuous log in a text file (which is usually readable in Notepad).
You can extract all your old emails from the .DBX files. ASSUMING: 1) You do not or did not compact them. 2) Never deleted them in the past. Otherwise only the newest ones will be available.
You can get a donation freeware program called DBXtract from here to read/extract your DBX files:
