Email servers usually refuse to forward emails to other servers. This is to try and control SPAM.

Ho woodpigeon

OE / Tools / Accounts
Click the freeserve mail account
Then click Properties
Then go to Servers tab

For POP3...keep as is for freeserve address

For SMTP...put the SMTP address of BT Broadband
( if you don't know it, you should be able to find it on the website of BT Broadband )

Maybe you also have to check or uncheck the box for server authentication for outgoing mail server.

I was having a look at BT Broadband FAQ.

Question Can I access my email account with BT Broadband?

Answer
It depends on whether you have a web-based email account (such as BT Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail) or an email service provided by an ISP.
If you need a simple WebMail account, why not try our free service BT Yahoo! Basic Mail.
You get your own email address and access it via the web.

BT Broadband does not provide email services, so you will need a separate email provider for this, (an ISP, for example BT Openworld).

With BT Broadband you can send and receive emails from a web-based email account and from some ISPs.

We recommend that you contact your ISP to find out if their email will work.

So, I guess you need to contact freeserve ?
