Outlook '97 won't display a reminder

We have an NT 4.0 server network and use Exchange with Outlook '97. A few of the clients that have Win.'95 won't display a reminder when a task or appointment is due.
The machines that have the problem are ones that have had Outlook reinstalled on them to set it up for a different user. I checked the settings for the reminder and it is set. Please help. Thanks.
