I was installing Front Page 2000 on my computer when it crashed. I was not running any other applications at the time. Now the computer will only start in safe mode and gives me the message that I have a windows os protection fault....the question is, is there any way to fix this without reinstalling windows on my computer? I have no backup disks and am going to lose a lot of files if I have to reinstall windows....any suggestions would be appreciated....

Actually, if you use win98se, you can reload windows overtop of windows and not lose any information. Just make sure you know the serial number of your win98se cd, cuz it would be the s---s to reload it and then not have it installed after all that time. I wouldn't recommend reloading win 95 overtop of 95. Hope that helps

Hi Sara

If you want to install win98 over win95, win98 must use the upgrade version.
