operating system missing error

Hi! After partioned system Hard Disk ,when i insttal operating system. On booting time it display message Operating system missing please do my favour. Thanking you Help me to resolve my Os/system problem

Let's go back a little... When you partitioned the drive... How did you do this; and did you make the c: (Primary) partition - active? Secondly: which OS are you installing - XP or '98; or it it both - and if so in which order?

Summary: I have a 133 PackardBell with a 1.6gb with Win 95 on and I wanted to put Win98 on it. Like a dummy, I "fdisked." Now when I boot up It tries to load and a message comes up:"operating system missing....

Summary: I have a PC (Components) that had "Kill Disk" used on it. The error message is "Missing Operating System." A boot disk doesn't do the job. I can't get to Fdisk to create a partition or make one active...
