opens file when loading word2000

I have a system, where whenever you open up word2000, it opens up an old saved file automattically. No matter how you open word, this file always opens when word is opened (instead of a blank word document) is there an option somewhere to click to fix this??

YES there is...lets see....Open up Word 2000...click Tools...click Options....in that window you should see a "Startup" Listing in that white box. I THINK....I think your startup file is there. I think you just select the C:\ drive for it and that Word Doc won't pop up again. Now I'm being honest when I say I'm not 100% sure on this...may want to wait for a second comment here.

nope, doesn't look like that helps. I tried puting a file in the dir, on my computer, and nothing happens. So it must be something else. Thanks for the response though. Any other suggestions?
