when I try to open freecell.exe, one message box is opening buttons are "close" and "ignore". if I press "ignore" there is nothing to occur. if I press "close" another msg. box is opening. there is writen that windows must close this app. error:CARDS.DLL konum: 0001:00000a0f

Sounds like either a corrupted or missing driver file within the game. Why not just go to the windows update site and reload the game and see if that works.

you need to find the the cards.dll file and make sure that is placed in the system folder in the windows directory and the game will run fine
