Opening My Computer brings up Explorer

Comment:
I am running Win98 SE with IE5, Active Desktop on.
Whenever I double-click My Computer, Explorer loads and displays the C drive. Normally, it would show the contents of My Computer (A: C: D: Printers etc.), but now it doesn't. Also, when I go to FTP sites through IE5 and double-click on an FTP site, it also takes makes to Explorer.

Review your active desktop settings or better yet disable it if you dont need it. Major source af confusion in win98.

In my humble opinion the active desktop should be hung up by it's gonads and flayed to within an inch of it's life; it serves no useful purpose except to slow up the display driver. It's about as much use as Bill Gates as a Playboy centrefold.
