Hello
Can anyone tell me if win98 SE has an on-screen keyboard? Win XP has it in the accessibilities options but I can't find it in win 98. I tried looking in the windows components in the control panel but couldn't see it there. If win 98 doesn't have one can I use one from another operating system.
Thanks
Ford

I don't recall seeing one (although someone else might know better). There are some third party programs around, such as this freebie:

I can't vouch for it but it mentions W98 if this is the sort of thing you mean.

Hello Derek
Thanks for your quick reply and link. I'll give that a try.
The idea is you use the on-screen keyboard so if you have a virus on your computer it can't copy your keystrokes because you are using the mouse to click the letters instead pressing the keyboard keys.

Aha, I see where you are coming from. There are quite a few around if you Google a while (not all free though). That one kinda read nicely...

I would say run reliable anti-virus and spamware/malware detection and removal programs, then you don't have to worry about keyloggers. :)

Hello all
Thanks for those suggestions. My customer gets a bit nervous because he is still using windows 98 to do online banking and Microsoft doesn't support it so he could be more prone to virus attacks.
