Comment:

Our LAN bandwidth is tight and a seperate DSL connection would allow our procurement personnel to access our new web based procurement system with enough speed to make the system usable.

My company will not allow DSL connections to our LAN for security reasons so I was wondering if it is possible to have seperate LAN and DSL connections on the same machine.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

It is possible, either using a seperate DSL network card or if its a DSL router, just use a seperate Network card to connect to external router.

I understand your companys concerns, but they may be overreacting a bit. An inexpensive router like Netgear's RT314 provides excellent security via NAT. Couple this with an anti-spoofing script, and you've got pretty tight security and a great way to share DSL among the nodes on your LAN.
