hello i wante to disable the onboard video card on my motherboard and install a PCI card i have thats better than whats onboard. how do i disable the onboard video card on my PC and install the PCI card in BIOS. what is the video card called in the BIOS and what is the correct steps to do so?Thanks for the help

try just installing the new video card. sometimes that disables onboard video. but, there could be a jumper on the board, or a bios setting to disable onboard video.

Go to Device Manager/Display Adapter and right click the item there. Select "Remove". Shut down, install your new video card and boot your PC. When your system boots, windows will show a "new hardware detected" window. Install the new driver. There should be instructions with your new card regarding software and driver installation. Ray
Summary: Some onboard video cards have to be disabled both through jumper settings and a BIOS setting. I take it you have checked for a disable option in the BIOS as well?...
