if you enter these 3 line in the c:\config.sys file

copy the lins, open config.sys with notepad and paste them in and save the file and reboot.

DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.exe RAM
DOS=HIGH,UMB

Using these lines as written above I run 622,240 free conventional memory with win98 se, 6 IE windows open, Outlook Express and Explorer.

Gives you heaps of room for 'old' games and I also think windows runs better using it all of the time.
I very rarely freeze/crash.
