I have some question:(OS:win95)
1.I can't set up my Office97, when the set up proceed to 34%, it refused to go on work. So I have to restart my computer, it did setup nothing on.
2.I can't install my modem. I don't have the setup disk for the modem. but I know the modem is Zoltrix product, and it was a internal 14400dpi fax and data modem, on the PCB the No. is FM8818.
I try to install my modem in my diffent COMs and IRQs, but it did not work. When I see the Info in the diagonics, It display "it is not responsing from the modem....." it was same as I removing my internal modem from my computer.
Someone said I need the setup program for the modem, after which I can schedue my COM port and IRQ, but i can't find the program on the Zoltrix website.
Could you tell me the step of install the modem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Office might be hanging because it ran out of space on your HD to set up, needs lots of room to copy files and get going. Empty your temp folder, internet browser cache, temp internet files, other junk.
The modem just needs the driver which is at Zoltrix's site. Remove any modem you see in Device Manager, and also from Modems in Control Panel if it's there. Shut down, remove the modem itself, restart, shutdown again and put the modem back in.
Start up and If windows finds the modem, click "Have disc" when it looks for drivers. Or click Add&Remove in control panel and install it manually, again click Have Disc, and point it to where the driver or downloaded driver is located.
If it's a 14400 modem, I'd seriously get a new one, they are cheap and you won't be slowed by the old one.

Just purchased your Works Suite 99. I have not opened the CDs as I am not certain the hard disk space needed for Works, Word. The other programs I intend to operate from the CD with minimal installation. The package states that 354-469 MB needed for initial installation..I have over 550 remaining, but do not want to use even 354 MB for these programs.

Please advise. Ivan Cady, icady@prodigy.net
