Has anyone here installed Office XP on Win 98(not SE) succesfully?
I can install it on XP and ME but so far no go on 98. I keep pulling the following error-
Error 25003: Microsoft Office setup cannot continue because the installation source has been corrupted.

I have tried all the MSKB fixes to no avail. I'm fairly sure the CD is fine and even a "flatfile" install pulls the same error.

Any ideas??

How many machines is your OFFICE XP valid for? According to Microsoft 98 you should be able to do it. You need 48RAM and about 200MB of disk space, if you are just using XP Office. There should be a System File update screen appear when you begin the office installation to configure it for XP, then the actual installation will begin. I installed XP Office on a system with 98se, Pentium pro 128RAM, 20G Hard Drive, with no problems, but I did not have a older Microsoft Office version installed. My license was for two installations.
