Comment:

I have Office 4.3 on floppies (31 disks) but Disk 1 is corrupted and I need to reinstall.
Is it illegal to ask someone for a copy, as dealers no longer carry this version.
Thanks to any suggestions.

As long as you have the original license, it should be okay but in the instructions to install the software, it does mention not to use the original disks. You should make a backup copy of all original diskettes or you could call microsoft to see if you could buy a cd rom. What about the other 30 disks for 4.3? It's possible a few more could be bad.

Why not upgrade to office 97 which is on cd rom? good luck
