Office 2000 update problems...

when i update office 2000 premium edition, to sr1 and sp1,2,or 3 all of the office applications, when opened, remian open for about 3 seconds, and then automatically close. even if i uninstall sp3 the problem still occurs. if i completely uninstall everything and then reinstall office as it were before updates and just install sr1 it is fine. but when i choose sp3, sp2, or sp1 the applications in the office suite open, then close about 3 seconds later. someone please help!!!!
