Does anyone know how to download MS Office 2000 SR-1 to my hard drive?
Someone posted a way to do this with SR-2 several months ago and I cannot find the method.
Now, whenever I want to apply any updates to it, I get an error message saying that SR-2 cannot be installed until SR-1 is installed. Each time I have downloaded this release and try to install it, it gives an error message and all is lost. Then just to try again, wait an hour and a half to download it and go through the failing install again. Thanks

I feel your pain. every time i format/reinstall i have to download the stupid SP's. the only thing your allowed to save is the setup.exe which begins the download. I remember someone posting the fix here also, i think it was something to do with locating and saving temp files.

Thanks for the link. It worked perfectly and was exactly what I need. Been trying for months to find a way to do this.
Now, I can install, and reinstall until I get that thing to install with erroring out. At one time, I had it on there and SR-2 also but after a crash, have not been able to get it to install without erroring out.
