OE deletes my emails inmy folders on every cl

Need some help!! \i have got sub folders for most of my clientele and got emails segregated accordingly on outlook express 6.0. Everytime i was clicking on a sub folder(which contained emails) , all emails were just vanishing and for some reason i just cannot find them andmost of the sub folders are empty.. Any help would be most app[reciated I would love to retrieve them somehow and some help would bemost appreciated.

As it happens OE is much the same whatever operating system you are using.
Can you remember any word strings in the missing emails? If so, open OE, then go to Edit > Find > Message. Use the Browse button to set it to "Local Folders". In the Message box type in some appropriate text.
If the messages have been moved then you should be able to find one to see where they have gone.

I did try those steps but no luck yet. Maybe a virus has somehow deleted the stuff. if so, is there a way i could still retrieve these emails. Thanks

I know of no virsus that does that sort of thing.
It is unusual for messages to completely vanish. Sometimes they can end up as a sub folder in "Deleted Items" so it would be worth expanding that folder (and all the rest for that matter).
Otherwise keep thinking of word strings which might find at least one of them.
