I just experience the "NTLDR is missing" problem on my Win95 system. After looking over a few message threads here (thanks you computing.net) I realized that the problem was a diskette in the drive at boot time.

The diskette had been reformatted on a Win2000 system. A new diskette in the drive that is "IBM formatted" will give you a non-system disk error at boot time.

Heh, nearly as common as missing kernel32.dll or non-system disk around here! =)

and your non system disk means the diskette wasn't formatted with the /s for system files so it won't boot either.
