This problem is driving me crazy. Can you help. It's the typical NTKERN.VXD problem. The 13 error messages, etc. What do I do to get my system back up and running.

If it's the problem that I'm thinking of, all you need to do is uninstall the USB suppliment (through start\settings\control panel\add/remove programs).

ntkern.vxd is one of the usb virtual device drivers included in the window9X cab files. If you want to wade through your cabs, you'll eventually find it.
Background: This, and about 5 other files are included with windows, but not installed because micro$oft said they were "old, slow" drivers, and new ones would be released. You need to install them in the windows/system/vmm32 directory. If you search the net, you'll find the names of all the noninstalled files that go there.
