I have just bought a mercury usb external modem for my thinkpad. the trouble is when i try to install the driver from the cd provided it crashes half way through copying files. i have added the drivers manually but have a problem saying that ntkern.vxd can not load the device driver. i have added ntkern.vxd from the windows 98se disk to the windows/system folder but still have the same problems. all i want to do is get the laptop online!! can you help? its really getting on my nerves.
