Have a P1 166mhz (overclocked from 133) and it dosen't want to display anything on the screen at all although i do here it counting the ram(sometimes).
I have also been unable to work out what brand the motherboard is (as it dosen't have any lables)and as such unable to re-set the proper CPU speed
The mother board has both AT and ATX power plugs, 3x168pin ram slots, 1 x ISA, 1 x PCI. With everything else onboard. Thanks

Your onboard vid may be dead. If you have a friend that has one, see if you can borrow it to check. The cards are PnP so you can install it and see if you have a monitor then.
Second...have you connected the monitor to another computer to see if it may have died?
Monitors die just like everything else, I have seen them go DOA within 48 hours.
Since your running a 133, you might think of a investment in a new board and ram...you can get a new barebones for a decent price, if it is with in your budget. I sell barebones 1.3 celeron sytems to my clients for less than $210.00. You can find something similar locally for you I bet.
If you need further help feel free to email me.

I have tried a diffrent monitor (2 diffrent monitor in fact) and i have also tried a diffrent video card (it was a 2MB S3 Trio 32/64+ PCI) and still nothing displayed on the screen.
I am building it to run as a internet machine for my grandfather who only e-mails and surfs the web very little.
Any other suggestions..
thanks
