I have a pc, and the monitor will not show anything. I have used another monitor, and the same thing happens. Could this be the video card.

If the pc is new and the video card is intigrated into the monther board, then plug the monitor into there... If you bought an additional video card and installed it, then you need to plug it into there...
is your monitor plugged in with a power cord?
is your monitor connected to the computer?
is your monitor turned on?
